WE DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE GOD
Dear Friends and Partners,
Today, September 14, about 100 days remain until the end of 2026. Much of the year has already passed, and as we look back on everything God has accomplished, our hearts overflow with gratitude.
We have faced great challenges, witnessed miracles, and watched doors that once seemed impossible open before us. Through it all, one truth remains firmly rooted in our hearts:
We must never underestimate God.
When resources seem insufficient, doors close, and obstacles become greater than our strength, God is still at work. He makes a way and transforms impossibilities into testimonies of victory.
Honouring Vilma on Her Birthday
Today, we also celebrate the birthday of my wife, Vilma—a loyal and courageous woman who has always been willing to embrace the challenges God has placed before us.
During some of the most difficult seasons our family has faced, she was often the one who found a solution. For several years, she worked and provided for our family while I devoted myself to missionary work.
Although she endured a difficult childhood and the pain of growing up as an orphan, Vilma never allowed her heart to become attached to comfort or material possessions. Her courage, faithfulness, and willingness to serve continue to inspire us.
Happy birthday, Vilma! May God grant you new victories and achievements in the years ahead. Thank you for stepping beyond your comfort zone to follow the purposes of the Lord.
The International Missions Centre Is Ready!
The beginning of 2026 brought challenges that, from our human perspective, seemed impossible to overcome. Today, however, we are delighted to share extraordinary news:
We have completed the International Missions Centre in Brazil!
This dream was born in the heart of God: to establish a place where new leaders can be trained and prepared to reach people in some of the most remote and underserved regions of the world.
We faced financial limitations, many obstacles, and intense spiritual battles. Yet whenever we thought we could go no further, God provided what we needed and renewed our strength.
Now, with joy and gratitude, we can declare:
The International Missions Centre is ready—for the glory of God!
Very soon, we will begin our activities, training, equipping, and sending people who are committed to proclaiming the Gospel.
Leadership Conference in Goiânia
In June, we were in Goiânia, working alongside the local church to organize an important Leadership Conference.
The conference, featuring Dr Lee Martin, was truly extraordinary and exceeded all our expectations. Leaders were strengthened, lives were impacted, and many received a fresh vision to continue serving the Kingdom of God.
It was a season of tremendous blessing and yet another demonstration of the Lord’s faithfulness. To God be all the honour and glory!
Celebrating 50 Years of Paz Church
We also had the privilege of attending the celebration of Paz Church’s 50th anniversary. This was a deeply meaningful occasion for us because I had the privilege of being part of the church’s story from its earliest days, when the meetings were still held in Pastor Lucas Huber’s home.
During that time, I was among the first people to be baptised, and at the age of 18, I was ordained into pastoral ministry. Looking back at those humble beginnings and seeing everything God has accomplished over five decades was an extraordinary blessing to us.
Helping Cyclone Victims in Mozambique
We also returned to Africa to help those affected by the cyclone that struck the region of Chimoio, Mozambique.
By God’s goodness, we were able to assist hundreds of people, including widows, orphans, single mothers, and elderly people. We met families who had lost almost everything, yet they were still fighting to rebuild their lives.
During the mission, our vehicle was taken to a garage. Because of the mechanic’s dishonesty, we were left without it for the entire trip. That situation could have brought our work to a halt, but God opened other doors and enabled us to reach the people who needed help.
Amid the flooding and destruction, we saw relief and renewed hope in the eyes of those who received assistance. Once again, we were reminded that the Gospel is proclaimed not only through words, but also through tangible acts of love.
God Made a Way in Venezuela
Our mission in Venezuela also began under extremely difficult circumstances. I only had enough money to purchase a one-way ticket. During the journey, my flight from Bogotá to Caracas was cancelled, forcing me to buy another ticket to Valencia at three times the original cost.
I arrived at two o’clock in the morning and then realised that I had left behind the money intended for our expenses and humanitarian assistance. To make matters worse, none of my foreign bank cards would work. I remained at the airport, unsure of how the situation could possibly be resolved.
Then God performed another miracle:
He sent someone to provide exactly what was needed.
Because of that provision, we were able to continue the mission and help many people by distributing wheelchairs, medicines, and food.
We were also welcomed by a small church with fewer than twenty members. There, we established a 24-hour prayer chain, seven days a week. This prayer movement continues to grow as new people join the vision.
Once again, God showed us that He can use small beginnings to accomplish great things.
Our Next Mission: Tibet and Nepal
Before the end of this year, we are planning another missionary journey to Tibet and Nepal—regions where many people have been affected by natural disasters.
The most difficult period often begins when the disaster is no longer in the news. The images disappear, assistance declines, but the suffering continues.
That is precisely when we want to arrive.
We want to stand alongside these families, pray with them, proclaim the Gospel, and provide practical assistance.
To carry out this mission, we need your prayers, contributions, and support. We believe God has already prepared an assignment for us in that region—and you are part of that assignment.
Everyone who prays, gives, and walks alongside us becomes an active participant in everything God will accomplish in Tibet and Nepal.
A New Mission in Scotland
We are also beginning a new missionary project in Edinburgh, Scotland.
This initiative was born through much prayer and from a deeply burdened heart as we witness the growing number of people who no longer attend any church.
We are not here to blame anyone. Our purpose is to offer a response and work towards a solution that will reach the communities of Edinburgh and, in time, other regions of Scotland.
We will share more details very soon. One conviction, however, is already firmly established in our hearts:
God has not forgotten Scotland. He still has a purpose for this nation.
We deeply need your prayers for this new mission.
We Do Not Underestimate God
The Bible tells the stories of people who underestimated God, including Ananias and Sapphira, Judas, and Demas. At some point, they disregarded the truth, the power, or the purposes of the Lord.
My prayer is that you will continue moving forward in faith, never placing limits on what God can do.
With God, all things are possible!
When resources were lacking, God provided. When the road was blocked, He opened another way. When the obstacles seemed impossible to overcome, He gave us the victory.
Everything shared in this newsletter confirms the same powerful truth:
God is still transforming impossibilities into testimonies.
