COMPASSION.

There should never have been a camera inside that hospital.

I knew that.

But there was something far more important than keeping silent: the cry of people who no longer had a voice.

So I recorded.

Not to show images.

But to reveal a reality that the world can no longer afford to ignore.

The young woman you see speaking with the survivors is Ada.

During this mission, she has become like a daughter to me. Together, we have walked through hallways filled with pain, offering the little we have, but giving everything that is in our hearts: hope, compassion, and love.

Please, hear this cry.

Today was one of the hardest days of my life.

There is suffering that no words can truly express.

There are tears that no story can fully tell.

And there are wounds that can only be seen by those willing to stand beside the suffering.

That is what I found in Caracas.

The earthquake brought buildings down.

But abandonment is still bringing lives down.

I saw elderly people who had been forgotten.

I saw men and women who had lost arms, legs, and dreams.

I saw teenagers struggling to find the strength to keep living after everything had been taken from them.

In the eyes of many, there were no more questions.

There was only a profound silence...

A silence that cried out.

Every hospital room seemed to hold a story interrupted.

Every hallway seemed to be pleading for help.

Every face seemed to ask:

"Does anyone still care about us?"

In the children's ward, my heart nearly broke.

Children fighting for their lives.

Parents desperately trying to find medicines they simply could not afford.

While a child waits for medicine, time does not wait.

While someone delays the decision to help, another family continues to weep.

For a few moments, it feels as though evil is winning.

It feels as though indifference has become louder than compassion.

But I refuse to believe that this will have the final word.

There is still hope.

As long as there is someone willing to love.

As long as there is someone willing to share.

As long as there is someone willing to act.

So I ask you:

Please help us.

Death continues to walk silently through the hospital rooms.

But love can also enter through those very same doors.

Every donation can turn despair into hope.

Every act of generosity can mean a life preserved.

Every prayer can strengthen those who no longer have the strength to stand.

Please share this message.

Send this appeal to your friends, your family, your church, businesses, and everyone who still believes that every human life is worth every effort.

The faster this message spreads, the more lives can be reached.

Evil only wins when compassion remains silent.

As long as God gives me strength, I will continue walking those hospital corridors.

I will continue bringing food where there is hunger.

Medicine where there is pain.

Hope where despair has tried to make its home.

And love where abandonment has left deep scars.

I will do everything within my power to preserve life.

I ask only one thing:

Please read these words one more time.

Perhaps on the second reading, you will begin to feel a small part of the pain my eyes have witnessed.

Even then...

No words can fully describe the suffering I have seen.

Because the tragedy did not end when the earth stopped shaking.

For thousands of survivors, it begins again every single morning.

But there is a force greater than destruction.

Compassion.

And whenever compassion finds willing hands, lives are saved.
